It's January; the time when the transfer market gets active. Clubs across Europe are reinforcing their squads be it for launching a title challenge, pushing for a place in Europe or staving off relegation.
But a number of clubs are also mulling over whether to hold onto their players whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the season. A whole host of players would become free agents in the summer and would be able to sign for any club they want.
