Arsenal's Andrei Arshavin has emerged as a shock transfer target for Chelsea.
The Russia international is looking increasingly likely to end his two-year stay at the Emirates Stadium after suffering a drop in form this season. The 29-year-old has only showed glimpses of his undoubted talent and while he continues to score goals and create chances, he has more often been found guilty of wasting opportunities.
Both the player and the club seem to believe that it's time to part ways and he had been tipped to join long term admirers Juventus or return to his former club Zenit St Petersburg. However, reports in Sunday's newspapers suggest that Chelsea are keen to take Arshavin off Arsenal's hands.
