Versatile winger-cum-defender Urby Emanuelson has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with AC Milan, bringing to an end his six-year career at hometown club Ajax.
The 24-year-old has long since been linked with a move to San Siro after making almost 200 appearances for the Amsterdam club in a variety of left-sided positions.
No fee has been officially publicised for the transfer but it is thought that Emanuelson changed hands for a modest sum, given that his Ajax contract was to expire in six months' time.
Emanuelson began his career as a left-back but gradually found himself deployed further and further up the pitch, leading many to think that he will play on the left side of midfield or even attack for the Rossoneri.
Ajax has become a player farm. Maybe theyve always been, but I dont like that a Chamipons League team keep selling their best players. Ajax should be a europeen top club if they kept the players they sell!
