Japan's composure from the penalty spot ensured that they reached the Asian Cup final after South Korea had netted a dramatic equaliser in the final minute of extra-time. Eiji Kawashima saved twice in the shoot-out as Yasuyuki Konno, who gave away a penalty in normal time, put the winning spot-kick away.
