Arsenal's Vela to begin Bolton talks

Bolton are poised to finally land Arsenal striker Carlos Vela on loan.

Boss Owen Coyle has been after the 21-year-old Mexican for weeks, amid talk of a possible move to Spain.

However, Gunners chief Arsene Wenger is keen for him to stay in England and Vela has been cleared to open talks with Coyle as early as today.

Wenger was swayed towards Bolton because of the way they developed Jack Wilshere while he was on loan there a year.

I don't get it,Arshavin has been in a shit form then why isn't he given chances ?

I don't get what you mean...

... it's sad to see that Vela has hardly been given a fair chance at Arsenal, like so many before him, sadly.

I think he's a better striker than Chamakh,Bendtner, and even better than Van Persie, who is NOW in good form again, but it usually never really lasts long.

Van Persie, once hailed as the 'new Bergkamp', has never REALLY been consistently great.

I'd rather see Walcott and Vela start each match. They're both young, hungry, and extremely talented. The fact that they get so little time on the pitch, is such a shame.

Would be nice if Vela would find a club where he plays every match.

I do not understand this as well, Vela has been played several times as a left wing, but recently Wenger is preferring to play Nasri in that position rather than Vela.
Vela's natural position is an attacker and a striker. And now that there are RVP (who is back in form), Chamakh and Bendtner (who is playing as a right wing recently), it is difficult for him to find a regular place in the team.
Too bad he was never given a fair chance to prove himself.

He's still young, and not yet Arsenal quality. A loan spell would do him good.

As long as it does wonders for him like it did for Jack is all good. I wonder if Wenger actually demands that his loaned out players play a certain amount of games or minutes.

Sure hope he starts playing soon.
