Arsenal are expected to complete a £12.9m deal for highly rated Dinamo Zagreb defender Sime Vrsaljko before the end of the transfer window.
Reports in Croatia are claiming that Arsene Wenger has pipped rivals Manchester United and Manchester City to the signing of the 19-year-old right-back.
The deal would see Vrsaljko loaned back to the Croatian champions for the remainder of the season before joining up with the first-team squad in the summer.
