Liverpool believe they have sealed a £35million deal for Newcastle's Andy Carroll after giving Fernando Torres permission to have a medical ahead of a possible move to Chelsea.
The Spaniard is set to join Chelsea before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline in a deal worth up to £50million - and Liverpool could replace him with Newcastle's Andy Carroll.
It's not known whether Torres' medical will be held in the north or closer to London - but sources were insisting the player was due at Chelsea's training ground later today.
Not a rumor anymore. Confirmed by both clubs.
