Chelsea v Liverpool preview

Team news for Sunday's Premier League clash between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge (kick-off 4pm).

Liverpool's new signing Luis Suarez is pushing for his first start against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after scoring on his debut against Stoke in midweek.

The Uruguay international came off the bench and looked lively in his 27-minute run-out.

Having tailored his formation to 3-4-2-1 to face Stoke, manager Kenny Dalglish is likely to revert to a more orthodox line up against the Premier League champions.

Midfielder Christian Poulsen sustained a back spasm in the warm-up before Wednesday's match but should have recovered to take his place in the squad. Vice-captain Jamie Carragher returned to the squad for Stoke for the first time in two months after a shoulder operation, but may have to settle for a place on the bench again.

Normally I just think this match is a waste of time watching. But this one, I will watch: thats for sure. I hope Torres gets many chances... and misses them all! And even better; Suarez score a hat trick! Dalglish is my man!

You are United, arent you? A bit strange to support Liverpool- but thats typical United supporters... LOL!

Chelsea wins this one easily. Torres scores 2.

Doubt they will win easily. Both teams are coming into some form so it should be entertaining.

Our pass and move football was great on wednesday.

My prediction was a draw before the transfers, and i'm gonna stick with it!

Difficult game for both teams.
IF Lampard/Essien and Drogba raise their games,we will take the 3 points.

What about Torres? Imagine, now he has players that can pass him a ball. Its been a long tome since he got chanses worked out by his team mates. He has done evrything by himself.

I am pretty neutral in this discussion, but I think you are a bit hard in your Liverpool refelction in this one.

sokrates4819d ago

You stupid man. I hate Liverpool- but Torres can thank himself that he didnt do better in liverpool. It seems like he wants sucsess with out contribute himself. I am so glad United didnt want him! Chelsea cn stick with him! Bad "investment"
