Despite the insistence from Dani Alves ' agent last week that no English clubs had contacted him regarding the Brazilian, the German 4-4-2 Web site reports that a "consultant" of the player was in talks with Manchester City .
Alves' contract ar Barcelona expires in 2012 and although negotiations between the right back and his club over an extension are ongoing, according to reports in Spain the two sides are far apart.
Manchester City are said to be lining up a €50 million for the 27-year-old, and are apparently ready to offer him €8.5 million a year, while he earns about half of that figure today.
