Ashley Cole has spoken of his pride at winning the 2010 England Player of the Year award.
The left-back topped the poll on The FA's website beating Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard to the award, which rounds off an impressive year for Cole, following on from winning the Double with Chelsea as well as making it into the Uefa Team of the Year and equalling Kenny Sansom's record 86 caps for an England full-back, which he should surpass in Denmark this evening.
