Furious fans’ groups hit back on Thursday night after learning that the price of some tickets for May’s Champions League final at Wembley has been doubled to £176.
As revealed in Sports Agenda yesterday, the 11,000 seats available to neutral supporters will be pitched in three categories, costing £150, £225 and £300, with a £26 administration fee on top. Last year, UEFA offered a fourth category of ticket to the general public at £70 for the final in Madrid, but this has been withdrawn.
The 50,000 tickets available to fans of the competing teams have risen by £3 to £80.
