Shakhtar Donetsk are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time after brushing aside Roma at the Donbass Arena. Tomas Hubschman opened the scoring with a superb backheel finish early on while Marco Borriello saw a penalty saved by Andriy Pyatov near the half-hour mark.
Philippe Mexes was sent off just before the break before Willian added a second after the restart and substitute Eduardo put the icing on the cake with a goal in the closing minutes.
