If Vancouver Whitecaps FC needed a model for how to transition from the USL to Major League Soccer, they only have to look a little to the south to Seattle Sounders FC.
Like Vancouver, Seattle joined MLS from the USL, and it set the bar quite high in terms of expectations for a first-year team.
