Late goals from Henri Lansbury and Andrew Surman ensured Norwich moved into second place in the Championship with a 3-1 win over Bristol City.

Grant Holt's 16th league goal of the season from the penalty spot inside the opening 45 seconds was cancelled out by Albert Adomah in the second half, before Lansbury and Surman fired the Canaries into the automatic promotion places.

The loss signalled the end of a four-match winning streak for the visitors.

The playmaker advanced into the area and was clumsily brought down by Liam Fontaine for a penalty.

Holt made no mistake from the spot, smashing the ball into the top corner, giving former England number one David James no chance.
