Sir Alex Ferguson believes his current Manchester United side can still produce 'magic' even if they lack the 'fantasy' of their predecessors.
Ferguson was responding to Marseille boss Didier Deschamps' comments that the class of 2010/11 was missing the wow factor after watching DVDs of their underwhelming performances this season.
They were certainly lacking a spark in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final clash with Marseille that that ended 0-0.
Ferguson used his programme notes ahead of the second leg at Old Trafford to say: 'I hope we can show Didier Deschamps that despite his suggestion that our present side doesn't have as much 'fantasy' compared with our team of a few years ago, we are still capable of producing our fair share of magic.'
