Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden is expected to be ruled out for six months but has revealed that Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has offered a 'sincere apology' for the horrific tackle that caused the injury.
Holden, 25, suffered a knee injury on Saturday in his side's 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford, and the defender was sent off for the challenge.
