Aston Villa director General Charles Krulak has attempted to rally the troops by urging the Villans to "kick the c**p" out of their opponents.
Villa are currently one point from the Premier League bottom three following Saturday's defeat by Wolves with supporters turning against manager Gerard Houllier.
However, non-executive director Krulak, a confidante of Villa owner Randy Lerner and a Vietnam war veteran, has attempted to rally the fans with a heartfelt message on supporters' forum Villa Talk.
The American said: "When my Marines put on their uniforms and the emblem of the Corps and went into battle and things got tough, they did not fight for their Commander, they fought for their brothers-in-arms, the men wearing their uniform and emblem.
