Netherlands football legend Johan Cruyff has said that the current Ajax board running the club has no understanding of football and believes that the Dutch powerhouse can return to its glory days only if the current directors are replaced.
Cruyff and the Ajax board members along with former players Dennis Bergkamp and Wim Jonk discussed a possible organizational change but failed to reach a solution. Club CEO Rik van der Boong admits that they need the support and expertise of former footballers but is against completely letting them run the club.
