Europe has some top quality defenders playing in it's leagues, in fact arguably the best in the world. While it's always been difficult to try to rank the top defenders (or any players) in the world, here is one version of the top 25 defenders currently plying their trade in Europe.
This is a solid list except Terry is better than Evra and mertesacker!!

Things I learned from this article's pictures. Fabio Coentrao looks a lot like Torres, Vincent Kompany has a huge forehead, and Lucio moves ridiculously fast.
