Schalke continue to sweat over the fitness of centre-back Benedikt Howedes ahead of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final match against Manchester United.
The 23-year-old defender picked up an abdominal strain last week, and was forced to miss Saturday's 1-0 loss against Kaiserslautern.
