Valdano sacked by Real Madrid

Real Madrid director Jorge Valdano has been sacked by the club, a move which hands full control of transfers over to manager Jose Mourinho.

"We have decided to end the contractual relationship with Jorge Valdano," Perez said at a news conference at Real's Bernabeu stadium following a meeting of the club's board of directors.

WOW! Real are actually handing the "special one" the keys to the kingdom.

Mourinho may will be the most powerful coach in modern RM history, he was only beaten in La Liga and Europe by the best team in world football over the last 10 years.

it will be interesting what his hand picked team will look like next year.

Now he can get exactly the players he really wants. Hope Benzema isn't one of them and sends him Arsenal's way. God knows we need a good striker to help RvP. ;)

The new director will give him a lot of money to buy a new player: And I think they will get Fabregas - maybe Benzema will go the other way. This isn`t too bad for Arsenal? Teh same thing as Liverpool did with Torres; Sold him and got enough money to buy 2 great players (Suarez and Carroll) instead

benzema would do well at arsenal i think.. mourinho already said he doesnt like benzema's work ethic so you may be in luck..

@zico.. fabregas would only leave arsenal for barca.. .he's from Catalonia and is a barca supporter i doubt he would play for madrid

I can't see Fabregas going to Madrid either. Besides, do they need more midfielders? Next season they'll have a fit Kaka, Nuri Sahin, and Altinop in addition to the players they had this season.
