Isn't Gulacsi good enough as back-up? Besides, with Reina fit enough to play just about every match last season, there was hardly any need for a second keeper, much less one that puts quite a dent on the transfer budget.

Why do I have the feeling that this is just another ploy by the player's agent to get him a better contract with his current club. And I believe this isn't the first time an 'unsatisfied' player has used the LFC name to force a contract re-negotiation with his club.

Doni, meanwhile, will provide backup to Pepe Reina after Liverpool agreed a £1 million deal with Roma. “Doni would be very happy to join Liverpool and play in the Premier League,” his agent said yesterday.

Sounds good, maybe jones is going on a lona move again, can't see him going permanently.
