Stuart Pearce has bemoaned the "little bit of naivety" which led to England’s exit from the European Under-21 Championships after a 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic.
In a game high on tension but low on inspiration, Danny Welbeck’s powerful header 15 minutes from time looked to have secured England’s place in the tournament semi-finals, but late strikes from Jan Chramosta and Tomas Pekhart mean it is the Czechs who qualify from Group B instead.
I on the otherhand blame a lack of talent because they failed to win any of the three group games.
