Juventus attacker Luca Toni has stated that former Netherlands international and AC Milan star Marco van Basten was his role model after he became a striker.
The Italy international, who started his playing career as an attacking midfielder, added that Juve legend Michel Platini had been his boyhood idol until then, but a change in position meant that Van Basten became his inspiration.
