Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has defended Manchester United over the handling of Owen Hargreaves' on-going injury crisis during his time at Old Trafford.
Hargreaves was believed to have criticised Sir Alex Ferguson's side's handling of his three-year long injury spell with the club, comparing his treatment to that of a "guinea pig".
