Gary Speed is determined Wales become more than a one-man team after another super show from Gareth Bale.
The Tottenham winger was named FAW player of the year for the second successive season earlier in the week.
And Bale was, fittingly, tormentor-in-chief of the Swiss as he ran the visitors ragged to wreck their Euro 2012 qualification hopes.
He scored Wales' second 19 minutes from time to seal the victory against the 10-men Swiss, who had Reto Ziegler red-carded for sliding in on Chris Gunter in the 55th minute.
Bale might have earned a penalty before the visitors were eventually penalised for a disputed foul on Gunter, which enabled Aaron Ramsey to open the scoring from the spot in the 60th minute.
Victory means Wales still have an outside chance of finishing third ahead of their final group game in Bulgaria next week.
