Cesc Fabregas says Arsenal simply "cannot afford to lose" talismanic striker Robin van Persie.
Van Persie took over the Gunners captaincy when Fabregas departed for European champions Barcelona in the summer. Now, the Spain midfielder expects his former club to do everything within their power to tie Van Persie down to a new long-term contract.
