Sunderland have officially announced the appointment of Martin O'Neill as their new manager, replacing the recently sacked Steve Bruce.
The former Aston Villa boss has been confirmed as the Black Cats' new coach, with the club's chairman Ellis Short looking for the team to become a top 10 regular...
I have a feeling this was already agreed on principle before Bruce was sacked as it was done so fast. Also why has O'Neill agreed to manage them? Nothing against Sunderland but he left Villa as they had little to no money for transfers.. Neither have Sunderland! It's crazy and makes you think his reason for leaving Villa was for differnt motives.
