I'm gonna say ronaldo deserves this, he has stepped up his game further more(which seems unbelievable) by becoming an assister as well.

I would have to say either ronaldo, in that hes become more of a team player. Mou has gotten him to be aware of his teammates. Xavi, deserves it as well. He may not be in the ranks of Ronaldo and messi but he is certainly one of the best mid-fielders to ever grace the pitch. However, this is become a bit of a popularity contest so I guess one could say that messi will win it again.

All of this said it wont matter RM will win this weekend and then we'll continue on towards the league title and the champions! :p

If Messi doesn't get it, Xavi should. Futbol is not all about looking good and being a stubborn, undisciplined prick who just happens to be a good striker.

Hate for what? And I have nothing to whine about, I'm a fan of an amazing team. I'm just saying how it should be, it'd be great to see other players step up to the award, especially maybe a new talent, but for now I just don't see any better candidates than Xavi and Messi. And If I could pick, I'd give it to Xavi for his mastery in passing, Messi has enough imo.

If Madrid win La Liga and possibly Champions League this season, then CR7 will win it next year. For this year I'd say Lionel Messi. Either way, I want Ronaldo to win it next year.
