BR - Manchester United lost this past week to FC Basel and was eliminated from the Champions League. Naturally when a traditional power like United suffers an early upset, many questions are asked as everyone is trying to figure out what happened.
Sir Alex Ferguson is one of the greatest managers of all time. His incredible history speaks for itself. With that said, he is by no means perfect and one has to ask if he went too young too early with his roster.
I always think "let's see your credentials compared to Sir Alex" when articles like this pop up.
Seriously does the writer of this article even follow football? If he did then he would know that Smalling is not a midfielder and that Anderson wasn't picked against Basel because he's injured and Welbeck has just come back from injury. At least do your research if you're going to criticise Sir Alex.
no he didnt. united are in the process of building a new squad. this was bound to happen sooner or later. this writer should go back to 2005/06 and see how man united did given ronaldo, rooney etc were in that team. then years later went on to win the CL
