Why do linesmen hate Adebayor? It's now the 2nd game in a row he scores a legit goal and it gets ruled offside...

Terry at the end what a hero (even though he's a racist bastard) if it weren't for him Chelsea would not have walked away with a point!

Chelsea a massive 11 points down at christmas. I knew the club had gone downhill but this is a significant slide carried from last year. I now actually believe Spurs are more than a match for their London rivals and i fancy them for a 3rd place finish!

Chelsea need some serious investment and a major overhaul from the summer. Sturridge is a bright point for the club's attack, but Anelka is going, Drogba may leave if he does not get his contract and Torres has offered little. Defensively Chelsea are the poorest they have been in years and leaking goals at home for the past couple years that would otherwise have been an absolute fortress. Now clubs go to Stamford Bridge thinking they can take something away.

They will finish in the top 4 i think, but a long way off the eventual winners.

Actually Chelsea are playing better this season under AVB than under Ancelloti. Last season we had 28 points at this time instead of 33. It just seems worse because of City's great form.

That being said this is a team in transition and hopefully we'll continue improving over the next two transfer windows. I'm just hoping for a top 4 finish, a deep run in the CL, and maybe the FA cup.

Actually I think Carlos Ancelloti was managing with a squad that was affect by lot of injuries, but they came back strong and win almost every matches, if it Were Ancelloti I think Chelsea wouldn't be this low in the table

I think that is arguable and although Chelsea have more points, they are even further behind because the bar has been raised which United have taken up the challenge a lot better, and even Spurs too.

Chelsea essentially have not gained on the top clubs, they have fallen further behind. Their top 4 status is also under serious scrutiny for the first time under Abramovich's ownership. The season is nowhere near finished yet but Ancelotti won a double proving his quality and then got sacked after finishing runner up. If AVB wins nothing and finishes 4th the owner will look bonkers for ditching Ancelotti.

Having more points than last year is one thing, but being further behind is something else and surely a much more important stat!

Chelsea need major investment but i am unsure if they have left it too late in the face of the now active Financial fair play rules. I also think they desperately need a new stadium to take their income to the next level and meet these regulations.

The next 2 years or so will be critical to the club and whether it can get back on top, or if it ends up scrapping with Arsenal behind the two Manchester sides every year.

I agree with @vulcanproject but I also agree with Mozilla89. Sure Chelsea are looking a weaker side this season but rivals are stronger. The teams outside the top 6 though are there for the taking for pretty much anybody. After the window shut every team outside the top 6 minus Newcastle pretty much fell apart and only beat each other as United proved Wednesday. The first time they won at Fulham in 4 years.

Chelsea however are fighting now for a top 4 spot rather than the title I think spurs might nick third meaning either Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool will get 4th. I hope Liverpool personally as my wifes a liverpool supporter.
