Swansea as good as safe. Pretty good first season for them and with their future all but secure they need to strengthen in the summer, as one would expect. All the talk was of how well Norwich have coped but Swansea are only a point behind with a superior goal difference.
This defeat for me means its probably all over for Blackburn. I think they will have to win 3 of their last 4 games to survive. I can't see it, 1 yes, 2 maybe, 3, one of Spurs or Chelsea? No.
Its 3 points just to catch Wigan who also now have a game in hand and are playing pretty well. That Wigan have 3 wins from the last 4 is the best news for them. I can see them grabbing another couple of wins from their last 5 games and being safe, dooming Blackburn.
They can only hope that QPR's last few fixtures all end up in heavy defeats (quite probable) and they could make a great escape...
