Josep Guardiola has confirmed on news conference that after four years he is leaving Barcelona. The new coach of the Catalan club next season will be Guardiola’s current assistant Tito Vilanova.
After the morning workout when he announced his decision to players, Guardiola several hours later confirmed the departure and to the media on “press conference” at which was present most of first team footballers. Although it seemed that he decided to leave after meeting with club president Sandro Rosell on Wednesday evening, Guardiola has admitted that he knew much earlier that next season he will not lead the current European and Spanish champions.
Tito Vilanova is the next coach for Barcelona?! He better wear protective eyewear. ;)
