When FIFA 13 comes out for the Playstation 3 this year, I might be tempted to play with Chelsea after the offseason they've had thus far.

Along with adding dynamic playmaker Eden Hazard from Lille, the team appears close to adding Porto striker Hulk (Givanildo Vieira de Souze). From Jason Burt of The Telegraph:

There was some confusion over the fee that the Portuguese club would accept, however, with officials claiming they still want £60 million—which Chelsea will not pay.

Personal terms are understood to have been agreed already, however, and although Porto are denying that they are close to an agreement, it appears that the transfer is moving closer.

Porto have accepted that they cannot demand the €100 million (£80 million) release clause in Hulk’s contract is met and are open to negotiations especially as the 25-year-old Brazilian international has made it clear that he is desperate to leave.

We could talk about the 21 goals he scored in 38 appearances for Porto last season, or how he's an excellent replacement for Didier Drogba at the striker position.

Or I could show you a few videos with some of his finer goals in recent memory (as compiled by The Telegraph).

Yeah, let's do that.

Brazil vs. Denmark, May 2012

Hulk smash!

Benfica vs. Porto, March 2012

Incredible. What else can you say but that?

Porto vs. Shakhtar Donetsk, September 2011

Did I say "Hulk smash!" yet? Oh, I did? Well, this one deserves another.

HULK SMASH!

Hulk won't take the Premier League by storm, nor will he ever surpass players like Wayne Rooney or Robin van Persie as the top strikers in the league. Nor will he ever be comparable to Drogba in the air, and it remains to be seen if he could be half as clutch.

But he does have a knack for scoring goals, has a ridiculously powerful left foot and, along with Hazard, should provide some more creativity in Chelsea's attack, clearly a priority for the Champions League winners this offseason.

Is he over-priced and probably a bit overrated?

Yes.

Will he still be a welcome addition for this Chelsea club?

Absolutely.

Why?

Because "Hulk score!"
