Arsenal fans around the world are waiting in eager anticipation for the moment that latest transfer recruit Santi Cazorla is officially announced as a Gunner for the upcoming English Premier League season.

After Malaga's ongoing financial problems forced the club into selling their best players, Arsene Wenger swopped for Cazorla and seemingly picked up the steal of the summer in acquiring the midfielder for around £16-18 million (per The Telegraph).

Now the waiting game for the official release is taking place, and according to Cazorla's Malaga teammate, Enzo Marseca, that should be any moment because the midfielder has in fact already been sold this summer.

Santi Cazorla has already been sold, according to Malaga teammate Enzo Maresca as Arsenal emerge as clear favourites to sign the Spanish playmaker.

"He (Pellegrini) is fundamental for us, just as Cazorla and Rondon were fundamental and who have had to be sold," added the Italian, who captained Malaga for Saturday's 2-0 friendly defeat to his former club Juventus in his native Salerno.

Which, if indeed true, means that Cazorla's deal to Arsenal should be announced any time now—potentially, a Monday morning release from the Gunners to kick off the working week in style.

The club has already brought Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud to the Emirates this summer and with the acquisition of Cazorla, they have affirmed themselves as transfer window heavyweights once more.

Whether or not they have done enough to encourage Robin van Persie to remain at the club for this year still remains to be seen (per The Daily Mirror), but the signing of Cazorla is no doubt a huge signing for Arsenal.

The midfielder will bring great creativity and flair to the Arsenal midfield and attack next season, and he'll open up defenses with his exquisite passing game—benefiting the likes of Giroud, Podolski and RVP to no end.

The signing is great news for Arsenal fans and surely puts the North London club back in contention for both English and European success this season.

Just how good will Santi Cazorla be at Arsenal this year?
