MLS in Ronaldo's Future?

    Cristiano Ronaldo has been quoted as saying he would like to play in America's Major League Soccer one day (The Sun).

    Ronaldo is currently touring the United States with Real Madrid. According to The Sun, he said, "I hope to come here to play one day."

    Ronaldo, 27, joined Real Madrid from Manchester United for £80 million in 2009.

Internacional Expecting Offers for Leandro

    The vice-president of Brazilian club Internacional has said he expects to receive offers for Brazil international forward Leandro Damiao (ESPNSoccernet).

    Luciano Davi said Tottenham Hotspur have not bid on Damiao. AC Milan are also thought to be interested.

    Damiao, 23, has scored four goals at the Olympic tournament so far, with Brazil set for a semifinal Tuesday against South Korea.

RvP Not Heading to City?

    Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said he does not believe Robin van Persie will join the club this summer (Metro).

    "Van Persie? No, I don't think he will come here," Mancini told reporters recently.

    Van Persie, who turned 29 on Monday, has been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer after announcing he would not sign a new deal with the club. His current contract expires following the 2012-13 season.

PSG Join Race for Lucas Moura

    Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race for in-demand Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura (Goal.com).

    Lucas, 19, has been linked heavily with Manchester United in recent weeks, but no deal has been struck (Fox Sports). Sao Paulo also denied reports that Lucas had been sold recently to Inter Milan for €27 million (Goal.com).

    So far this summer, PSG have already signed Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Argentine midfielder/forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.

    Lucas is currently on international duty with Brazil at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Carroll Staying at Liverpool?

    According to an ESPN source, England international forward Andy Carroll wants to stay at Liverpool and will reject any move to another club (ESPNSoccernet).

    Carroll, 23, joined Liverpool in a £35 million deal in January 2011 but has struggled for form since then. This summer, he has been linked with a loan move to West Ham or a return to Newcastle, his former club.

    But a "well-placed" source has told ESPN, "Andy is staying at Liverpool for sure."
