Defender analyses signing of Welsh wizard
Sergio Ramos talked about Real Madrid's interest in signing Gareth Bale and the price the club is willing to pay for the Welshman. "The price of players is set by the market. It's not down to me to decide if Bale should sign, or whether the squad is complete or more players should be bought, but it's important to have young players, and also Spaniards. At Real Madrid the young players are really important. It's vital to have them, has and that’s been the case throughout the club's history," he proudly said in reference to players like Isco and Illarramendi.
Speaking in Los Angeles, Ramos went on to say that Ancelotti "is one of the best managers in the world. It's always really positive to have great managers, especially ones with vast experience at the highest level," the second Real Madrid captain added.
"It's reassuring. We're extremely lucky to have Ancelotti, because you learn so much. It would be great if he could help us win titles. The most important thing is to understand what he wants from us so that he can get the best out of us and make it a successful season," the Seville-born defender said.
Ramos was also asked about his previous boss at Real Madrid, José Mourinho. The Spaniard said he "appreciated" his work. "There's not much to add about the past. I'm not spiteful and cherish the great things a great manager did at the club. We all have positive conclusions about his time here and wish him the best. I want to learn things every day, just like I did under Mourinho and I would like to thank him for that," he concluded.
