Manchester United have reportedly ruled themselves out of the signing of Paul Pogba, with Juventus only listening to offers of £80 million and above.

The Frenchman, 21, who previously donned United colours, has been in barnstorming form for the Turin side, having scored six times in 17 appearances from midfield this season in Serie A.

Louis van Gaal is expected to step up his pursuit of Roma’s Kevin Strootman, with the Old Trafford hierarchy not keen on paying over the odds to bring Pogba back, according to the the Sunday Express.

The news will be music to the ears of Chelsea fans who could be tempted to bring Pobga to Stamford Bridge to strengthen their midfield options.
