Miralem Pjanic has claimed that Barcelona wanted him before he renewed his contract with Roma last year.
The Bosnian midfielder played under Barca Coach Luis Enrique at the Stadio Olimpico in 2011-12, and he admits La Blaugrana were a distinct possibility until he signed a new deal with the Giallorossi until 2018.
“I know that Barca wanted me while I was negotiating my renewal with Roma,” he told La Repubblica.
“PSG and Bayern Munich [were also interested in me], but I feel comfortable [at Roma].
“The club and the fans wanted me to stay and that’s the most important thing. I don’t regret my decision.”
