Tottenham 0-0 Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp enjoys 'wild' Reds start

New Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says his team made a "wild" start to his spell in charge, after the Reds held Tottenham to a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane.

Liverpool showed plenty of intensity but it was goalkeeper Simon Mignolet who did most to secure a point for Klopp's side, saving superbly from Spurs substitute Clinton Njie and from Harry Kane in each half.

Gerard Houllier is still the only Liverpool boss to win his first Premier League game in charge at the club, against Southampton in 1998, while he was joint-manager with Roy Evans.
