Manchester United fans began calling for Jose Mourinho to re-sign Nani after he scored in Portugal’s 1-1 draw with Iceland on Tuesday night.
Nani, who is rumoured to be a target for the Red Devils once again, latched onto Andre Gomes’ cross in the 31st minute to put Portugal 1-0 up at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
And United supporters were impressed by the all-round performance of the winger who was agonisingly close to winning the game for his country with 20 minutes remaining following Iceland’s equaliser.
The 29-year-old spent eight seasons at Old Trafford and was Players’ Player of the Year in 2010/11 before moving to Fenerbahce last summer.
But it seems United fans want him back, following reports that Mourinho is keen on signing his compatriot…
