Oscar has scored his first goal in the Chinese Super League since leaving Chelsea in a £60million transfer to Shanghai SIPG in the January transfer window.

The Brazilian was a surprise signing by the wealthy Far East club, becoming one of the first high-profile players to move to China whilst being at the peak of his powers.

Oscar started out as a key first-teamer for Chelsea despite eventually losing his place, but showed his class with this well-taken finish low into the far corner.

Other big names like Hulk, formerly of Porto and Zenit Saint Petersburg, were also on show as the Chinese Super League starts to boast more and more recognisable names.

With the ambition to become one of the best leagues in the world in a few years, performances like this from Oscar can no doubt do the world of good to boost China’s profile as a footballing powerhouse.
