Bournemouth are set to revive their interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic in the summer, reports say.

The Cherries were strongly linked with a move for 29-year-old Begovic during the January transfer window.

Having only made six appearances for the Blues this season and being forced to operate as Thibaut Courtois’ back-up, the Bosnian was believed to be willing to leave Stamford Bridge.

However, the Premier League leaders blocked his move to the south coast as they were unable to find a suitable replacement.

The club were in talks with Celtic’s Craig Gordon over a move to west London but the Scottish champions were unwilling to let their No.1 leave.

Begovic is expected to leave in the summer after Chelsea sign another goalkeeper, and the Daily Mirror say his destination could well be Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe is said to have made the former Stoke City star his priority signing in the goalkeeping department and is willing to spend £10million to secure the deal.
