Arsenal were left red-faced on Sunday afternoon as their official tweet praising Laurent Koscielny backfired during their clash with Everton at the Emirates.

The Gunners went 2-0 up inside 27 minutes against Ronald Koeman’s side but the north London outfit had a man sent off between Hector Bellerin and Alexis Sanchez’s goals.

Kosielny was given his marching orders for a rash challenge on Toffees forward Enner Valencia and Gooners were up in arms about referee Michael Oliver’s decision.

It was fifth time the French centre-back has been sent off since he made his Premier League debut back in 2010.

Following Koscielny’s red card a number of Spurs fans began retweeting Arsenal’s rather unfortunate tweet which was uploaded in the lead-up to the Emirates match.

‘#AintNobodyLikeKoscielny,’ Arsenal’s official tweet read ahead of kick-off.

In a way they were right, though – no player has been sent off more times than Koscielny since he played his first Premier League game.
