Paul Pogba showed exactly why he is the world’s most expensive player in a thrilling performance for France against England on Tuesday night.

The Manchester United star dominated the midfield at the Stade de France, even throwing in some skills and tricks – much to Chelsea defender Gary Cahill’s misfortune.

Having already ruined Tottenham’s Eric Dier, Pogba picked Cahill as his next target.

On the edge of the box, the Frenchman suckered in the centre-back, mesmerized him with a perfectly executed elastico and then breezed past him into the box.

Cahill was perhaps fortunate not to give away a penalty, pulling Pogba back as he glided into the box.

It was the icing on the top of a superb display from Pogba, who bullied the England team and overawed the opposition with his mix of skill and power.

Even when France were reduced to 10 men, he still ran the show and prevented the Three Lions from ever getting a handle on the game.

Pogba has not always lived up to his price tag for Man United, but he looked as though he was worth every penny as he have England the runaround.
