Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a £60million bid for Sergio Aguero and will consider their offer if they manage to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, according to The Times.

The prolific Argentina striker claimed earlier this week he was preparing to see out the final two years of his contract, despite the fact his first team place is likely to come under increasing threat next season.

City are said to be growing increasingly confident of prising Sanchez, who has less than a year remaining on his contract, from Arsenal although Arsene Wenger claims the Chile international will not be sold.

Aguero on his Man City future

‘I still have two years on my contract with Manchester City. I feel very happy here, so I will fulfil my contract to stay here until the end of my contract.

‘I have not thought about where to play next. I just want to focus on the work here.

‘I think my season was not bad. My form was pretty good. That is true, I missed a lot of games and that stopped me from helping the team score more goals.

‘But overall it was a very positive season.’

Aguero was surprisingly demoted last season following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January and the potential signing of Sanchez could see him pushed further down the pecking order.

The Times claims PSG believe they can play on the fractious relationship which exists between Aguero and his manager Pep Guardiola and persuade him join by building their forward line around him, while also offering him an increase on his current £220,000-a-week salary.

According to the Daily Mirror, City are preparing to make their first official offer for Sanchez after the Confederations Cup.

City expect a deal can be done at around £50m. The former Barcelona man scored 30 goals and contributed 13 assists to Arsenal’s cause in all competitions, including scoring in victories in both the semi-finals and final of the FA Cup.
