Jose Mourinho will target four more signings once Manchester United secure a deal for Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.

United are closing in on a move for the Belgian striker after agreeing a £75 million fee with Everton on Thursday.

Mourinho has already signed Victor Lindelof from Benfica but once he lands Lukaku, the United manager will push for further acquisitions to bolster his squad for the new campaign.

The Daily Mail claims that Mourinho is also keen to bring in another forward with Lukaku, a winger, a defensive midfielder and a full-back.

Earlier this week, reports claimed that United launched a new €45 million (£39.5m) bid for Ivan Perisic but Inter rejected the offer as they continue to hold out for €55m (£48.2m).

Willian, who was wanted by Mourinho last summer, has been targeted again but United have not yet made an offer.

Mourinho is also hoping to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea but their decision to beat the Premier League champions to signing Lukaku could scupper that move.

United, however, are willing to pay £40m for the Serb and Chelsea could be open to a deal once they sign Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco.

Eric Dier is on Mourinho’s shortlist but United will have difficulty in being able to convince Tottenham to sell.
