Jurgen Klopp has delivered a fresh message to Barcelona amid speculation they are plotting a raid on Liverpool for Philippe Coutinho.

The La Liga giants are reportedly preparing a bid in the region of £80million for the Brazilian.

Should they do so it would confirm their long-term interest in the Anfield playmaker.

It comes amid unrest at the Nou Camp over Neymar, who is being strongly linked with a big money move to Paris St Germain.

The interest in Coutinho is thought to be fulfilling the need for a replacement for Neymar or as a gift to their current striker to convince him to stay.

However first they will have to convince Liverpool to sell and it would seem Jurgen Klopp has no interest in doing so. Having previously stated he has no intention of letting his talisman leave, he reiterated that stance during a press conference in Munich ahead of Liverpool’s latest pre-season fixtures.

‘There is no other way to interpret it – he is not available to be sold,’ Klopp said ahead of the Audi Cup.

‘The word “not” means there is no interpretation for that. It’s nothing new, is it?’

Liverpool have endured a frustrating transfer window, with the arrival of Mohamed Salah the only game-changing arrival so far at Anfield.

Therefore the prospect of losing Coutinho to Barcelona is virtually unthinkable.
