Chelsea have submitted a €30 million (£27m) bid to Paris Saint-Germain for Serge Aurier, according to reports in France.

Earlier this week, reports claimed that Manchester United had a deal in place to sign the 24-year-old.

But Le10 Sport claim that the Premier League champions have now made an approach to sign the right-back ahead of Jose Mourinho’s side.

PSG, who are closing in on a £198m deal for Neymar, are currently looking to offload several players in order to make way for the Brazilian’s arrival from Barcelona.

Aurier is among those who PSG are ready to sell but the defender’s move to the Premier League hinges on whether his ban from entering the United Kingdom is lifted.

Aurier was found guilty of assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub in Paris last year and was subsequently denied entry to the UK for PSG’s Champions League clash with Arsenal in October.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are looking to bolster their their squad even further ahead of the new campaign.

Antonio Rudiger was brought in by Antonio Conte as another option in defence but Antonio Conte is understood to be looking for more competition for Victor Moses on Chelsea’s right flank.
