Tottenham will only consider ‘outrageous’ offers for Danny Rose this summer as the England defender continues to be linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, reports say.

Rose have been strongly linked with a summer move after admitting in an interview with the Sun that he would consider offers to leave Spurs.

‘At my age, and having missed six months with injury, I have been thinking about this quite a lot,’ Rose said when asked about his future at Tottenham.

‘I am reaching my peak and have probably only got one big contract left in me. Time is running out and I do want to win trophies.

‘I don’t want to play football for 15 years and not have one trophy or one medal. Sorry, that’s not what I am about. I wouldn’t be happy with that. I want to win something.

‘My short-term focus is to get back to playing like last year and if I do that the long-term will take care of itself.

‘I’m not saying I want out, but if something came to me that was concrete, I’d have no qualms about voicing my opinions to anyone at the club.’

Rose later apologised for questioning Tottenham’s transfer policy and Mauricio Pochettino downplayed the incident, insisting they had ‘moved on’.

But the 27-year-old has emerged as a target for both Chelsea and United, with both Premier League clubs targeting further reinforcements before the window closes.

Recent reports even suggest Antonio Conte is ready to submit a £50million bid for Rose as soon as this weekend as the Italian looks to beat Jose Mourinho to his signature.

But both Chelsea and United could be set for disappointment as the Daily Telegraph say Spurs will only listen to ‘outrageous’ offers for the player.

Rose started his career at Leeds United and has made over 100 league appearances for Tottenham since joining the club in 2007.
